Bruno Arrigoni (1921-2006)

“A STORY OF LOVE FOR THE LAND”.

The value of experience.

Since 1913, wine has been the passion, pride and raison d’être of the Arrigoni Family. Each bottle, each glass, each drop of our wine is the result of a time-honoured tradition, strong work ethics, respect and gratitude for our land that has always blessed us with fruit. It all started in the early 1910s with Bruno Arrigoni, the forefather of our family, from whom we learned the value of hard work, patience and craftsmanship. Year after year, we carry out each stage of the winemaking process in keeping with his teachings, from harvesting in our vineyards to bottling. This is why, each time we label a bottle with our family coat of arms, we know that bottle has all our history in it.
“UNIQUENESS LIES IN ORIGIN”.

Quality has deep roots.

Before arriving to your table to delight your palate and that of your tablemates and guests, each Arrigoni wine originates from what Nature has designated as its area of origin par excellence – the Tuscan hills of San Gimignano, home to the Pietraserena estate, and Liguria, where the Rosadimmaggio estate stretches  through a breathtaking scenery encompassing the towns of Masignano di ArcolaCastelnuovo MagraSarzana as well as the world-famous Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage site. What brings these very different, sometimes even opposite lands together is the fact that each represents a unique, centuries-old agricultural tradition.

“Pietraserena is the heart of San Gimignano”.

40 hectares of hills including a vineyard, an olive grove and a copse to ensure biodiversity. It is here in the Siena region, 300 metres above sea level, that we grow a number of grape varieties including Vernaccia di San GimignanoSangioveseMerlotCanaioloSyrahColorinoMalvasia NeraVermentino NeroTrebbiano Toscano and Malvasia, which give rise to unique varietals and unparalleled blends such as Chianti.

“Good fortune should be shared”.

Cooking classes, journeys into the world of trufflestours of the Cinque Terre by land or sailing boat and even the possibility to lodge amidst vines and olive trees – our love for the land is so strong that we wish to promote the region we belong to and where we would be glad to welcome you.

A family of keepers of tradition.

“The culture of wine runs in our genes”.

Following the path traced by Bruno Arrigoni, we run our farms and wineries by practicing his teachings daily. Our love for the countryside runs deep and translates to natural farming with limited, targeted treatments respecting Nature, people and the environment. This is our winery philosophy, which combines science and a cult for flavour and applies to every step of winemaking, from harvesting and destemming to crushing, fermentationageing, fining and lastly bottling and labelling with our Family Coat of Arms. This ensures that everything is carried out according to Bruno Arrigoni’s wishes.

Compared to other Chianti wines produced in different regions, Chianti Colli Senesi is typically more fragrant and easier to drink, even for people unaccustomed to drinking wine. It easily pairs with typical Tuscan dishes, including unelaborate or slow-cooking recipes. It is best drunk young in order to fully appreciate its freshness and youthful, intense fragrances.
